Donald Trump lashed out at Hillary Clinton, the “fake dossier,” and the lack of investigation into Trump-touted ties between the Democrats and the Russian government Sunday ahead of the first arrests in Justice Department Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe.

The president frantically fired off four tweets in 24 minutes, an outburst White House lawyer Ty Cobb implausibly said were “unrelated to the activities of the special counsel.”

“Never seen such Republican ANGER & UNITY as I have concerning the lack of investigation on Clinton made Fake Dossier (now $12,000,000?), the Uranium to Russia deal, the 33,000 plus deleted Emails, the Comey fix and so much more,” Trump blustered. “Instead they look at phony Trump/Russia ‘collusion,’ which doesn’t exist.”

He continued: “The Dems are using this terrible (and bad for our country) Witch Hunt for evil politics, but the R’s … are now fighting back like never before,” Trump. “There is so much GUILT by Democrats/Clinton, and now the facts are pouring out. DO SOMETHING!”

The “fighting back” could refer to new investigations launched by Congress into Clinton’s email activities and into an Obama-era uranium deal with Russia.

Trump and Republicans jumped on a recent Washington Post report claiming the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee part-financed the infamous “pee tape” dossier. Trump and his backers have since called for Mueller’s investigation to focus on the former secretary of state.

However, Republican Senator Rob Portman said Sunday Trump was “too defensive” about Mueller’s inquiry. “We ought to instead focus on the outrage that the Russians meddled in our elections,” he said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Mueller’s team is expected to make its first arrest Monday. The identity of the target or targets remain unknown.
