All Pages Dedicated to Women's and LGBT Rights Removed From White House Website

This morning, President Donald Trump was sworn into office. His administration has officially taken over Whitehouse.gov, and the site's pages dedicated to women and the LGBT community have disappeared. President Barack Obama's site included whitehouse.gov/lgbt, with references to "It Gets Better" and LGBT conferences, and whitehouse.gov/women, which highlighted Obama's work with women and girls. Both pages can no longer be found, and a search for "LGBT" renders zero results. The missing pages follow news that the Trump administration deleted references to "climate change" on whitehouse.gov.

Of course, it's standard for incoming administrations to switch up websites, but the missing subject matter does not appear to be addressed elsewhere on the site. A search result for "women" still mostly brings up pages about First Ladies.

As far as added content, Whitehouse.gov now dedicates an entire page to describing how the Trump administration will be "standing up for our law enforcement community" and "dedicated to enforcing border laws."

Hope Hicks, the Trump administration's Strategic Communications Director, did not return Broadly's request for comment.
