Someone Has Been Pickpocketing 'Hamilton' Fans for Months

Unfortunately, the threat of getting robbed outside the show, the failed boycott, and that recent drunken audience member outburst haven't made it any easier to score tickets.

A thief has been pickpocketing Hamilton fans while they stand outside the Richard Rodgers Theatre in Manhattan and try to catch a glimpse of the Broadway musical's stars, CBS New York reports.

At least six different people waiting for autographs between May and November apparently had their wallets jacked, presumably by the same genius crook.

"There's so much clutter, especially for a long-awaited show, that you wouldn't even notice when somebody grazes up in you," Doug Medrano told CBS.

On Monday, the NYPD released security video footage on Twitter of a woman believed to be the suspect behind the thefts, asking users to help identify her. The alleged pickpocket reportedly used her stolen loot to rack up $2,200 worth of fraudulent credit card charges and is now wanted for grand larceny.

Unfortunately, the threat of getting robbed, the failed boycott, and that recent drunken audience member outburst haven't made it any easier to score tickets to the show, so good luck ever seeing it. There's still a glut of bad online parodies if you're really needing a Hamilton fix.
