Animal Collective has mostly been in hibernation since releasing Centipede Hz in 2012, if you ignore that Live at 9:30 album, which you probably should. But now the band has announced a new LP, Painting With, due out February 19, and on Monday morning they dropped the first single from the album, "Floridada."

The song will probably sound familiar to anyone who happened to have a layover at Baltimore-Washington International Airport on their way home for Thanksgiving, since the band surprise-premiered the full record over the airport's speakers last Wednesday.

Word was that the audio was best in the bathrooms, so if you walked into a restroom at Baltimore Airport and were shocked to find a few men huddled near the sinks and whispering in hushed voices about the weird musak, that's the reason.

If you didn't happen to make it to the Painting With airport listening party, you can stream the first song from the record above.
