At the Drive-In Are Really Back with Raging New Song "Incurably Innocent"

Breathe deeply, a new album is finally coming in May.

We heard the first new music in 17 years from the sort-of reunited At the Drive-In (last we heard, former guitarist/vocalist Jim Ward was releasing solo acoustic EPs, seeing as how members of his band Sparta are now back in ATDI) in December, and while "Governed by Contagions" was an alright appetizer, today's new single "Incurably Innocent" washes away its taste thoroughly. It rockets forward, possessing the staccato, dissonant guitar work that the band is known for along with Cedric Bixler-Zavala's newly reinvigorated vocals.

The song officially announces the band's reunion album, the bizarrely punctuated in • ter a • li • a. It's Latin for "among other things," according to a press release. That album's coming out May 5th, and to get pumped for that and literally anything else in your life, listen to "Incurably Innocent" below.

Phil's life was never the same after the final minute of "Invalid Litter Dept." He's on Twitter.
