London producer Lapalux announced his first album since 2015 today, titled Ruinism, and shared its woozy lead single. "Rotted Arp" features former Bromance affiliate Louisahhh, and manages to find tender beauty amidst uneasy discordance. It also features a spoken word section about the tenuous relationship between frustration and desire.

"'Ruinism' is a made-up term I use to describe the way in which blended sound palettes and inspirations interact with one another to form this album," the producer said in a press release. "I would record synths and drum hits and re-sample, re-pitch, twist, and blend the sound until it was 'ruined' and then salvage it again in an attempt to make something coherent."

Ruinism marks Lapalux's first new material since 2015's CUTS VOL. 1, an EP of unreleased material given away on Brainfeeder's website. He also released his sophomore LP Lustmore on Flying Lotus' label earlier that year, which was inspired by limbo states of consciousness.

The album will be released on June 30.
