Jordan Spieth Wins Masters with 18 Under Par

Until Jordan Spieth knocked down a birdie putt on the 15th hole today, no one had ever recorded a score of 19 under par at the Masters.

Jordan Spieth won the Masters with one of the greatest performances ever at Augusta. No player in the history of the Masters had ever recorded a score of -19 at any point until today. Spieth notched a birdie on the par-five 15th hole—he had a decent shot at eagle, but his chip onto the green stopped short—and sealed an already unbelievable week at Augusta with a pretty cool feather in his cap.

He was on top of a leaderboard chock full of brand names like Mickelson, Woods, and McIlroy all week and he just kept going. The previous record was -18, which Spieth shared with Tiger's performance from 1997. He didn't finish at -19, however, because he biffed the putt for par on 18. So, he only finished at -18. The GIF above includes all his shots on 15 that (briefly) got him to the record score.
