You’ll Be Able to Play 'Minecraft' in VR Next Year

Sorry, Notch.

Yup, Minecraft is coming to Oculus.

Oculus VR founder Palmer Luckey revealed a few moments ago that the popular video game will come to the virtual reality platform this spring. Luckey said more details on the Oculus version of the game would be announced "soon."

It's worth pointing out that Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson once said he would never develop the game for Oculus because he didn't wanted to be associated with "creepy" Facebook. That all changed, of course, when he sold the entire company to Microsoft this time last year for $2.5 billion.

We were in talks about maybe bringing a version of Minecraft to Oculus. I just cancelled that deal. Facebook creeps me out.
