HABITS Reclaim Their Power on Industrial Pop Banger "Selfie"

The Melbourne duo have returned with a brutal, beautiful new track and video.

Melbourne duo HABITS have returned with "Selfie", the first single from their Salty EP. It's a typically brutal, beautiful track from Mo and Maia, revolving around the hook "I'M GONNA PUT SOME LIPSTICK ON / I'M GONNA TAKE A SELFIE", which, frankly, is one of the best hooks I've heard all year. On Facebook, the duo described the track as being about "the ways we are made to feel unsafe n disposable in our queer bodies and reclaiming our power in spite of it." The track itself is pounding and industrial and, at points, stupidly abrasive. It is very, very fun.

The video, directed by Dyllan Corbett, finds Mo and Mia dancing in the desert with artists Minnie Taur and Raina Peterson. Watch above (viewer discretion is advised for those who experience photosensitive epilepsy.)
