Blueface Is Pretty Good at Drawing His Blue Face

"The details are what matter."

It's not every day you catch an artist's with their face buried deep in a sketchpad—or in Britney Spears's case an easel—on camera. When Blueface emerged on the scene as the West Coast rapper last year with an affinity for rapping off-beat, you probably had no clue his background in drawing Yu-Gi-Oh characters would lead you here. Welcome.

When he's not asking Thotianas to bust down, he's pretty damn good with a 24-pack of Crayola markers. For the Los Angeles rapper, it's all in the details. He draws his memorable tattoo, the portrait of Benjamin Franklin on a $100 bill, which matches the pendant to the iced out blue chain hanging from his neck. It's been a wild ride for the 22-year-old. He's been the target of Courage the Cowardly Dog memes, but his signature flow doesn't seem to be hindering his plans for the future. "I got my foot in the door right now, but I'm trying to move in," he says. Watch our Self-Portrait with Blueface above.
