The Kings Maybe Try 4-on-5 Defense, Blow Wide Open Dunk

This is one of the weirdest things you will see in a professional basketball game.

I need to be honest: I have no idea how to write a headline to adequately describe what happened here. The Kings turned the ball over in their offensive half and when the ref's whistle blew, Reggie Evans proceeded directly to the bench. DeMarcus Cousins was set to check in at half court, but he never got in the game. So the Nets inbounded the ball and play continued with the Kings spotting the Nets a player.

Evans, or someone close to Evans, finally realized what happened and he hopped off the bench and got back on the court. When Brooklyn missed a long-range shot and the Kings tracked down the rebound, he was waiting directly under the rim for the ultimate cherry-pick basket, but he missed the dunk. It's worth noting that this may have been an attempt at Kings owner Vivek Ranadive's bonkers 4-on-5 cherry picking defensive scheme. Maybe. I don't know.

Anyway, sports are weird.
