Go Go This Week's Best Pin

Featuring new enamel pins from Inner Decay, Midnight Dogs, Poser Gear, Dylan Jones, and High Five Pins.

As the founder of Strike Gently Co , I deal in pins and patches daily. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that "add to cart" button.

High Five Pins

I don't really need to explain this one, but it definitely kicks off the "adolescent" tone of this particular roundup. Everyone loves the Power Rangers, and if you don't, you are probably really into noise music and Twitter. Learn your lesson and get your kids a Power Rangers DVD for the holidays.

Dylan Jones

Hipsters love Twin Peaks but only true heads get down with the X-Files. It's the Seinfeld of sci-fi. This double-90s Simpsons-Mulder wallet is a relic; in 30 years you won't even be able to tell it apart from Official Show Merch. To those pin makers who continue slaying it by having their manufacturers produce pins of screenshots from torrented VLC Simpsons episodes, I salute you. You're literally creating money out of thin air.

Poser Gear

You know the feeling you get when you go to a St. Marks clothing store and want to rag on it for all its bootleg merch, but then you realize that some of it is actually really cool? That's Poser Gear. They don't make anything super original, but they find the best bootlegs, most of which come from metal and punk records. This Bathory pin is beautiful—look at the detail that perfectly mimics the Swedish photo-copier aesthetic of the early 90s. Ja.

Midnight Dogs

As with all bootlegs, a Rugrats pin is easy. One that actually looks good and not childish or Canal-St-knockoff is more difficult than you'd expect. I include Midnight Dogs in these articles all the time, because they've found a way to monopolize all the best bootleg ideas. I dare anyone else to come close.

BONUS PATCH: INNER DECAY

Inner Decay releases these crazy hi-res classic art back patches. and this might be my favorite one. I'm not a huge fan of patches in general, but I am an art history buff. This is a massive patch of a painting by Luis Falero, a Spanish painter who focused on weird mythology and fantastical imagery when it wasn't very cool to do so. Sporting this one on your back is a good way to turn heads, from the construction workers who love nice ladies to Upper West Side collectors with tiny glasses.
