Neymar Has $48 Million in Assets Frozen While Under Investigation for Tax Evasion

It's becoming a Barça team habit at this point.

Breaking away from FIFA … .Brazilian court freezes almost $50M of Neymar's assets. Court alleges tax evasion against Barcelona star

Tax evasion is starting to become a Barça team habit at this point. Messi was already wrist-slapped for dodging the tax man, and now Neymar has followed suit. Nearly $50 million of Neymar's assets have been frozen while he's under investigation by Brazilian authorities, according to the Associated Press.

It's not too far of a stretch to assume that this round of investigations is linked to the rumored $58 million worth of unreported money involved in Neymar's transfer from Brazilian club Santos to Barcelona FC in 2013. Neymar and his father have been under investigation for tax fraud in the past, too.

Connection or not, Neymar likely won't be heading to Vegas again any time soon.
