This Shoplifting Seagull Will Teach You How to Steal Like a Pro

Let this be a lesson to all would-be crooks.

Read: Inside the World of Professional Shoplifters

The key to theft, or vandalism—or most crime, really—is to just act like you're supposed to be there, like you're just another bored-ass city worker or hungover employee. It's all about being nonchalant. If you pretend you know what you're doing, people will assume you do, or will at least feel awkward confronting you as you disconnect an ATM outside of a bodega and hoist it up into the bed of a truck or remove a manhole cover that you'll later sell for scrap.

Somehow, the seagull in the video above fully embodies that fundamental law of thievery, and the way he casually, confidently strolls into a convenience store to jack a bag of chips and bounce should be a lesson to all would-be crooks out there. Give it a watch above, and see the master bird criminal at work.
