Gucci Mane and his literary idol Malcolm Gladwell have become friends over the last few months, a fact that should give us all hope. Gladwell's books inspired Gucci while he was serving three years in an Indiana state penitentiary and, after tweeting out some mutual admiration, there's now talk of a collaboration between the two.Last month, Gladwell interviewed Gucci Mane about his new autobiography and the videos have been trickling through over the last couple days. Parts one and two were mildly entertaining but part three, released this morning, is great. Gladwell finally gets on to asking Gucci about his music taste, borrowing the format of the BBC's Desert Island Discs. If Gucci Mane was marooned on a desert island, Gladwell asks, what five records would he take?The first four answers are solid: 50 Cent's "Many Men," UGK's "Pocket Full of Stones," 8 Ball & MJG's "Lay It Down," and Kilo Ali's "Cocaine." He takes a second to come up with his fifth answer, but he's pleased about it. "I would have to say… 'First Day Out Tha Feds,' me."Gladwell follows that up by asking what Gucci would have said when he was 14 years old. Gucci says that he'd have taken "I'm Bad" by LL Cool J, "Children's Story" by Slick Rick, pretty much anything that Luke and 2 Live Crew put together, Eazy-E's "Eazy Does It," and "Cocktales" by Too $hort.When Gladwell asks Gucci to pick the five songs he loves from white singers, it's more of a struggle. He's pretty quick to get Selena Gomez's "Fetish." This dude down the front has his reservations about that:
