Castlevania speedrunner RomScout just cleared a new world record for the "all bosses" category in the beloved Castlevania: Symphony of the Night with a 31:51. That's the whole game, with every boss bested, in under 32 minutes.He uses plenty of wild tricks to hit the time, including one technique at 1:43 that allows him to skip death. By moving away from a screen transition at the point of screen scrolling while a screen freeze is happening (level Up, Heart Refresh, etc.), then entering the transition, it makes the next loaded screen underflow the x position and plop you on the opposite end of one screen length. And the death room is only one screen long so you instantly exit."
