Janet Jackson, forever a legend, performed a gobsmackingly good medley at this weekend's Billboard Music Awards. To celebrate being awarded Billboard's 'Icon Award', she performed "Nasty" from 1986 record Control, and "Throb" and "If" from 1993's janet. which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Her first televised performance in nine years, it was a typically massive affair. Watch that video above.
Accepting her Icon Award, Janet gave a powerful speech about standing with victims of assault and abuse, saying "We live at a glorious moment in history ... when at long last women have made it clear that we will no longer be controlled, manipulated, or abused." Watch the speech below:
