Here’s what World War II veterans say about Brexit

Campaigners on both sides of the Brexit campaign appealed to World War II history (and Winston Churchill) to make their case.

In Britain, which seems to have an insatiable appetite for wartime history, the sacrificed soldiers of World War II were resurrected by the Brexit campaign. The lead up to the EU referendum saw both sides appeal to the legacy of WWII to make their case. It seemed like political campaigners were prepared to speak on behalf of long-since-dead soldiers — so we went to meet with some living war veterans, all men in their 90s, to talk about the upcoming Brexit.
