Behold, Timothée Chalamet's Illustrious Rap Career Before 'Call Me By Your Name'

Lil Timmy Tim had a stellar two-song streak, dropping bars about statistics and getting his "school going hammer."

Before Timothée Chalamet was getting jiggy with Armie Hammer in Call Me By Your Name or chain-smoking cigs in Lady Bird, he was Lil Timmy Tim: a high school teen just trying to make a name for himself in the rap game.

My Newly Plaid Pants uncovered footage of Young Tim—clad in a Golf Wang flat bill and a V-neck—dropping bars about his statistics class. The budding, gangly teen raps about all the classic high school shit: eating Chex Mix in class, some kid named Jake who was always "being rude," and, of course, his teacher. "One zero zero zero trillion percent / I'm a statistical wonder, a statistical gem" is a particularly impressive line.

Lil Timmy Tim's illustrious rap career wasn't confined to that single, knockout performance, though. He managed to get a few backup dancers for a high school–themed adaptation of "Speakers Going Hammer," doing his best Soulja Boy impersonation in a jumbo pair of sweatpants that drown his small frame. He even hit the dougie:

Unfortunately for us, Lil Timmy Tim ultimately left his MC dreams behind to go pursue a career in acting. After landing a recurring role in Showtime's Homeland, he graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and went on to star in two of the year's most highly anticipated films. While we may never get to see the young star don his massive sweatpants again, you can catch Chalamet in both Call Me By Your Name and Lady Bird, in theaters next month.
