Sayzee's Self-Titled Album Is an Internet Rap Summoning Circle

The only rap album you'll hear this year that references Bob Dylan and 'The Legend of Zelda.'

St. Catharines, Ontario rapper Sayzee (formerly Sese) is a huge fan of Dragon Ball Z, but beyond the nerdy references, he's a capable spitter, as his self-titled album proves. Armed with robust production and an arsenal of left-field punchlines ("I'm fuckin' bitches like I'm Bob Dylan"), Sayzee is a well-rounded document of Carti-esque internet rap that's fun and weird. Also, the flips of the title screen music from Ocarina of Time and Kairi's theme from Kingdom Hearts will knock you on your ass, but we all knew that video game music provides the best samples.

"I've always done projects that had a defined theme behind them," Sayzee told Noisey over email. "I wanted to release something just being me. This was the first album that I was able to freestyle all the songs. I didn't write any of the lyrics or hooks, it was all off top. Vibes!" Listen and jam the fuck out to Sayzee below.
