Daub Some 80s Eye-Makeup and Sweat to MEZKO’s Electro Pop

Follow Sydney musician Paris Grant to the Lansdowne to catch his friends MEZKO play a rowdy gig.

This series is supported by Budweiser who are hosting their Bud Garage gig series across Sydney over the next couple of months.

For the latest episode of My Friend’s Band, we daub some 80s eye-makeup and follow Sydney musician Paris Grant to the Lansdowne to catch his friends MEZKO play a rowdy gig of dirty electro pop.

Originally from Perth and Canberra, Laura Bailey and Kat Harley found each other in Sydney and formed MEZKO, a Kraut-pop duo that combines melody and machines.

At Soundworks, an inner city studio where Kat and Paris work, MEZKO explain their process of marrying digital and analog sounds to create hypnotic kraut beats and hearty layers of synth.

Then it’s to the Lansdowne where everyone gets into the ‘Daryl Hannah in Blade Runner’ goth look before MEZKO take the stage and show off their sweaty electro pop.
