Vanessa Trump reportedly files for divorce from Trump Jr.

The couple had been living "separate lives" for some time, Page Six reports.

Donald Trump Jr.’s wife has left him, according to multiple reports.

Vanessa Trump, who married the president’s son after he proposed to her in a New Jersey shopping mall with a ring he got for free, reportedly filed for divorce in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday. The couple were married for 13 years, though the New York Post reported they had been “living separate lives” for some time.

According to Page Six and The New York Daily News, the filing is an uncontested proceeding indicating the couple do not intend to fight over custody or assets. They were married in 2005 and have five young children.

The couple met after Donald Trump approached Vanessa at an event and introduced her to his son. Before the event ended, he introduced her again, prompting her to later ask Trump Jr. if he was “the one with the retarded dad.”

Rumors of Trump Jr.'s marital problems began swirling yesterday when Page Six first reported the looming split. The gossip column also cited anonymous friends who said they were worried about Trump Jr. and felt “concerned” about his behavior on Twitter.

Trump Jr. has not commented on the report, though he did spend the day before liking multiple photographs of weapons on Instagram.
