John McAfee Launches Presidential Bid With Surprisingly Low Key Video

Because this presidential race wasn’t bizarre enough.

The self-described "eccentric millionaire" who's best known for founding an antivirus company that used to bear his name, and for his movie-like escape from Belize, is now running for President of the United States.

John McAfee officially announced his bid as a "Cyber Party" candidate in a surprisingly non-eccentric video, in which he laid out the key issues he'll focus on during his campaign: technology and privacy.

"I'm protected by a government that invades my privacy so that it can assure me that I'm not the enemy it is protecting me from," McAfee says, in front of a peculiar green screen background, which resembles that of his bizarre parody video from a couple of years ago. "I live in a country that is governed by people largely illiterate in cybersecurity."

Needless to say, his chances are slim. But at least he'll make this race even more fun to watch.
