Diddy Is Being Sued By His Former Chef For Sexual Harassment

A former employee alleges that she was subjected to unwanted sexual advances and not compensated for overtime work.

A woman who worked as Sean "Diddy" Combs' personal chef in Los Angeles is suing the hip-hop mogul for sexual harassment, retaliation, defamation, failure to pay overtime and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and more. Cindy Rueda alleges that she routinely worked for Combs from 9am to around midnight-2:30am for a flat rate of $150 per day and was never compensated for her overtime work.

The official complaint alleges that Rueda repeatedly filed requests that she be properly compensated to Diddy's personal assistant, Christina Khorram, and those requests were denied. She also claims that Diddy and his house guests would regularly call for her services while nude, immediately following sexual activity with other guests. She specifies that once while working in the kitchen, a male guest of Combs approached her in the nude, asking her to admire his genitals.

Rueda also claims that she was lured into situations that made her appear to be a thief. She says Combs' executive housekeeper, Iris, regularly "salvaged" items that Diddy no longer wanted and offered them to her. The complaint alleges that Iris offered Rueda a watch that was in the trash, which Rueda accepted. She believes that she is being accused of theft because of similar situations, which led to her termination.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for unpaid wages and overtime, plus punitive damages and an injunction to prevent future employees from being inaccurately classified as exempt. Read the full complaint here.

UPDATE: Tuesday, May 9, 1:37 p.m. Representatives from Diddy's comment: "This is a frivolous lawsuit by a disgruntled ex-employee who was fired for a cause."
