AUS Music is a major force in the world of weird and wonderful machine music for dancefloors. Founded in 2004, the British label probes the outer limits of house, techno and far-out dubstep. Few other labels have paired subtlety and sophistication with body-moving electromagnetism in the same way as AUS.
THUMP has an exclusive premiere of Bristol-born Komon's "Walk the Walk," out on AUS on July 15th. It's a sparse, slamming bassline-driven cut that made its way into label owner Will Saul's BBC Essential mix back in April of 2013. Like many of our British friends, he has gradually been making the move away from the contested fields of dubstep and drum n' bass and honing in on a cool, technoid-style made for wiggling hips. We're not mad at it. Plus his background (producing D&B as Ice Minus) and the fact that he's from Bristol means he's really, really good at making basslines.
