Reports are coming in that EDM superstar Calvin Harris was involved in car crash with another vehicle on Friday evening.
According to Rolling Stone, a Los Angeles police spokeswoman confirmed to Reuters that Harris was a passenger in a sports utility vehicle that was struck by a car that had crossed over the median. Harris was transported by ambulance and treated for "minor injuries" at a nearby hospital where he was released soon after.
Harris's team posted the notice to Facebook, stating:
In release statement published by Access Hollywood, Harris's reps confirmed: "[Calvin] was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck in a serious collision last night in Los Angeles. He was examined by doctors and sustained a number of injuries. He has since been checked out of hospital and is now recovering. We wish all the other passengers involved in the incident a fast recovery. As a result he was not able to perform in Las Vegas at his Omnia residency and will be unable to perform tonight at Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Updates to follow. "
Various sites, including Rolling Stone have posted the following information from TMZ, stating that allegedly: "a Volkswagen Beetle driven by a 16-year-old girl struck Harris' vehicle; two teenaged passengers in the VW required medical attention, one for a broken pelvis. Harris also reportedly suffered a facial laceration in the accident but left the hospital "against medical advice" after he was told there was no private rooms available."
