Infinite Daps Tour: Don't Touch Baauer's Chips!

The four horsemen of the Daps tell us about the last two weeks' most memorable meals.

One of the best parts of DJ life is meal times… honestly, the time when you actually get to sit down to eat (instead of grabbing some cardboard airport sandwich) can often be better than the gig itself. Ask any DJ and they will tell you that eating right is an important part of having enough energy and also feeling like a normal human being when you haven't slept in three days and you've been fist-pumping harder than Vinny Vegas.

Being mostly very skinny dudes, we kind of wondered if Baauer, RL Grime, Ryan Hemsworth, and Jim-E Stack only eat Haribo gummies all the time. But as you can see from this food diary they made us from the Infinite Daps tour—which just wrapped up Saturday in Nebraska—they are big fans of cow and pig, in the form of hamburgers, steaks, and ribs and more ribs. Here are a few memorable meals they had and where they had them. And who knows, if you ever visit Lawrence, Kansas, you might even sit in the same seat at Chipotle as Baauer.

DINOSAUR BBQ - ROCHESTER, NY
One of the best BBQ places we have ever been to. Home of the famous Dinosaur BBQ Sauce, this place definitely did not disappoint. From the ribs to the mac 'n' cheese to the cornbread, nobody had food on their plate by the time we left.

THE BROWN HOTEL - LOUISVILLE, KY
We were directed to the Brown Hotel when we got to Louisville, the birthplace of the "Hot Brown." The dish includes turkey, bacon, Texas toast, tomatoes, and a bunch of cheese. The waitress told us it was created as a late-night snack for those who had downed a few drinks that night, so it only seemed right for each of us to order a personal whiskey sampler before eating. Although delicious, this is one of the heaviest meals any of us had ever eaten, and Jim-e Stack's stomach in particular had a hard time with this one.

FLAVORS OF INDIA IN THE NORTH MARKET - COLUMBUS, OH
The North Market is a popular farmer's market in Columbus, so we decided to stop by for lunch. When we got there, unfortunately most of the vendors were closed, so we decided to stop by one of the few that was open, called Flavors of India. Most of us opted for the chicken curry, which was pretty good, nothing extraordinary.

PRIMANTI BROS SANDWICHES - PITTSBURGH, PA
Primanti Bros. is a famous sandwich shop in Pittsburgh with a bunch of locations around the city. We hit the one in the Strip District and told them to give us their best seller, called the "Pitts-burger." As you can see it is a burger piled with french fries, slaw, tomatoes, and cheese, all on fresh bread. We were very impressed, enough to attempt another late-night run at the restaurant.

JIMMY JOHN'S - CINCINNATI, OH
Jimmy John's is always the go-to for us. All of us love it, its pretty healthy, and they deliver it right to the door of our tour bus. What more could we ask for? If anyone from Jimmy John's is reading this, hit us up.

SMOKI OS BBQ - ST. LOUIS, MO
Another BBQ spot. Smoki O's was a hole-in-the-wall type place in St. Louis, but the food was absolutely delicious. The staff there was super friendly to all of us, even though they didn't completely understand the whole DJ thing. Everyone ordered something different, but the ribs looked like the best choice.

CHIPOTLE - LAWRENCE, KS
Another go-to is always Chipotle, can't really go wrong here. The burrito bowl is the crowd favorite. Baauer likes to order chips and use his burrito bowl as a dip, but gets really angry when you try to steal his chips, so watch out.

PICCOLO'S - OMAHA, NE
We went here to have an "Omaha Steak" and it was probably the worst food we ate on the entire tour. Steak was decent, but they gave us a ton of random side dishes that were just not good at all.
