BTS Had an Extremely Good Night at the AMAs

The K-pop sensations made their US TV debut, performing "DNA."

If you don't know the names Jungkook, Suga, Rap Monster, Jimin, Jin, V, and J-Hope now, I'd learn them pretty quickly. They're the members of BTS, and they are also, to put it mildly, a Very Big Deal.

The K-pop group have taken the US—and the entire world—by storm, and after they won the Billboard Music Award for Top Social Artist back in May, traditional media began to wake to the BTS phenomenon. That peaked last night, as the band made their first ever US TV performance at the American Music Awards, with "DNA." It was, by anyone's assessment, pretty rad.

The group are all talented dancers, and offer a slicker performance style than the boy-next-door vibe of One Direction, who were than the last boyband to have a similar level of mass appeal. It also doesn't hurt that "DNA" legitimately bangs, and looking at the footage of a number of very overwhelmed audience members, it appears they would agree. Watch their performance above and get ready to see much, much more of BTS.

Also, bonus BTS nugget: here they are singing along to Demi Lovato. It's cute.
