Stevie Nicks Performs "Landslide" with Harry Styles in LA

Harry Styles, born-again rock boy and bringer of roundtable discussions, played a small surprise show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles last night, rolling through tracks from his debut solo album Sign of the Times. He was reportedly pretty reserved for most of the evening—thrilled, but a little nervous. And towards the end of his set, he said this:

And so Stevie Nicks, one of the most iconic singers of the past half-century, strolled onto the Troubadour stage and sang three songs with Harry Styles. They dueted on Sign of the Times cut "Two Ghosts" and Nicks and Don Henley's "Leather and Lace." And they played "Landslide."

Styles' voice is warm and affecting and Stevie Nicks is an otherworldly treasure at all times. The two seem genuinely at ease singing with each other, figuring the harmonies out as they go. Even on a fan-shot video, their chemistry comes across. Styles seems overawed by the experience without letting it interrupt his voice, which is endearing.

But, more importantly, did you ever see this meme?

How does Stevie Nicks feel now, singing "Landslide" more than four decades later? What is it like to look back on something you wrote when you were so young but felt very old? What does she think now when she sings, "I'm getting older too?"

It probably feels weird! So, how must it feel to sing that song alongside Harry Styles, a kid born 21 years after "Landslide" was written? Nicks doesn't seem to be worried, but I won't sleep much tonight.
