"Young Ones" artwork
While he's best known as one of the key members of Joey Bada$'s Pro Era crew, Brooklyn's Kirk Knight is an incredibly versatile artist, as evidenced by his solo work (including last year's mixtape Late Knight Special) and work behind the boards for rappers including Mick Jenkins, Smoke DZA, and others. After sharing his "Buck [$]" mix earlier this year, today we're premiering the first instrumental track from his new soundscape project Black Noise, which further showcases his production chops. The dreamlike beginning of "Young Ones" recalls a vintage J Dilla beat—one of Knight's primary inspirations—with the producer adeptly juggling more dissonant sounds in the song's second half.Listen to the track below, check out his upcoming European tour dates, and get tickets here.Kirk Knight Skin & Bones Tour Dates:Oct. 26 - Fasching - Stockholm, Sweden
