Novalima - Mayame (Seiji Remix) [Exclusive Download]

Seiji isn't as serious as he looks. Download this party-ready tropical house remix and see for yourself.

While Googling the proper way to say "Let's dance!" in Peruvian, I came across the Peruvian slang word for cunnilingus which is sopa. That literally means soup. What the hell? Don't be callin' my stuff SOUP. Guys, I am tired. Otherwise I would have remembered that people in Peru mostly speak Spanish. Ayyy.

Why am I all obsessed with Peru? I'm listening to this remix Seiji did of Novalima, which you can download for free from our Soundcloud because we love you almost as much as we love ceviche and the ancient Incas. Novalima is a Lima-based "future roots" collective who combine Afro-Peruvian vibes with electronic music. Before you are like "That's too world music for me, Mom" and go put on some Dillon Francis, check out their collection of Karimba Diabolic Remixes, which features moombahton dude DJ Sabo and NYC DJ/producer/Wonderwheel label head Nickodemus, among others.

Our favorite remix is Seiji's though. The West London producer takes on "Mayame" and makes it into a middle-of-the-dancefloor-at-four-in-the-morning house track that will stick in your head whether you want it to or not. Dale!
