Get Tripped Out By These Visualizers For DJ Shadow's New EP

An old-school '45 adapter spins among the cosmos, further plunging you into Josh Davis' rabbit hole.

DJ Shadow's new EP does a great job displaying the stready evolution that the beat-twisting producer has been experiencing during his recent return to production and one can certainly feel the influence of newer sounds and mixing techniques that seem to have entered his mad-skilled brain. We did our best funky crunk-step shuffle all last week when we dropped a free download of his "cali-certified head-nodder" "Mob," and are back at it today with three hypnotic visualizers that will give you something to stare at while you continue jamming to Liquid Amber again and again.

"Ghost Town"

"Ghost Town" is an ambitious ride through many of the micro-genres within the Future Bass umbrella that have inspired me recently." -DJ Shadow

"Mob"

"Mob" is an intentionally stripped-down, Cali-certified head-nodder.  Both "Ghost Town" and "Mob" were written, programmed, and mixed by myself, and they represent the forward steps I feel I've taken as an engineer.

"Mob" (Machinedrum Remix)

The "Six Days" remix was something I asked Machinedrum to knock out as a tour weapon, and he crushed it (naturally), so I felt it deserved a proper release."
