Johnny Manziel Uses Lame Dis, Tells ESPN's Merrill Hoge to "Worry About His Big Neckties"

That's some weird schoolyard stuff.

Football Incarnate is at it again. After subbing in for concussed first-string Browns quarterback Josh McCown, Johnny Manziel has been getting a beatdown from analysts across the country for his overall poor performance (that some people may have jumped the hype gun on). But perhaps no other analyst has doled out a bigger beatdown than ESPN's Merrill Hoge, who has said of Manziel in the past, "he's a juvenile punk;" "it'll be like a Tim Tebow;" and "I see bust written all over him"—among other things.

In response, Manziel decided to come back with something that might not dispel the whole "juvenile" thing, saying that Hoge "needs to worry about his big neckties." But maybe there's more to it than just that.

It would be one thing if Manziel had said Hoge simply had big neckties. But no, he actually said that he needs to worry about his neckties. Which makes you wonder if Johnny Football knows something about Hoge's neckties that Hoge doesn't. Perhaps Hoge's neckties have confided in Manziel that they're having an identity crisis about whether they're a lobster bib or a cravat. Yes, yes. It's probably that.
