Atletico Madrid beat Bayern Munich 1-0 last night in the first round of the Champions League semifinals thanks to what will probably be the goal of the tournament. You're probably thinking, Could be worse for Bayern, but they can turn it around in the second leg, in Munich. True! Then again, Atletico is one of the best defensive teams in recent memory:

Club America won the CONCACAF Champions League. Congrats, America.

There was a big rally in Liverpool yesterday commemorating the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster, who were essentially absolved of blame for the tragedy after a jury ruled the deaths were the result of mistakes by the police. The crowd sang "You'll Never Walk Alone."

Amazingly, yesterday Britton's National Association of Retired Police Officers told the officers in charge (and legally at fault for) the Hillsborough disaster that they "did a good job" and should feel proud.

Tonight, Liverpool plays Villarreal in the semifinals of the Europa League. It's Liverpool's first match following the verdict.

A match in Sweden was called off after Malmo's Tobias Sana was almost blown up by a firework thrown by some fans.

Sana was not pleased.

Here is video evidence showing that US presidential candidate Ted Cruz knows nothing about sports, could be from outer space.

And because I'm in a video-posting mood, there is a bird gathering a sleeping dog's hair for a nest, which is sports, obviously.
