For the viewer, “Good Cop” images can provide easy reassurance. And for police departments, they are a great organic source of positive PR.
If court reporters or jurors can’t comprehend what Black people are saying in court, these citizens can get screwed.
“People could start selling their kids. Maybe that’s where this is going.”
“If I was one of those parents, I just would be beside myself.”
“I am scared. I am pregnant. Please let me leave," one resident told VICE News.
