Father John Misty, avid Noisey reader, is the perfect late-night TV guest. He has the scruffy good looks of a pre-I'm Still Here-era Joaquin Phoenix, the witty, charming banter of a post-I'm Still Here-era Joaquin Phoenix, and none of the brutal awkwardness of an I'm Still Here-era Joaquin Phoenix. Last night, he was a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where he was very charming, talking about his acting debut in a movie that isn't mentioned, his Christian upbringing, and his initial plans for Pure Comedy to be a musical. He also performed "Things It Would Have Been Helpful to Know Before the Revolution" with a full orchestra. You can watch the performance, and segments of the interview, below.
