Alvvays' New Video for "Dreams Tonite" Is a Slick 60's Throwback

They've now released the visual for their July single.

Last week, Alvvays released their second album Antisocialites, and on that album lives the ethereal track "Dreams Tonite," which was released as a single back in July. Today, the band have released a music video to accompany the song, and, it's as retro and #aesthetic as we've come to expect from the Toronto band—but it's also a little more than that.

The clip sees images of Alvvays' vocalist Molly Rankin spliced into archival footage from the 1967 World's Fair in Montreal, and paired with the song, it has a pretty, nostalgic effect which only enhances the song's sense of longing. Essentially, it's very lovely and it'll make you think of Mad Men without the misogyny, and you can watch it above.
