Sigur Rós-Blade Runner Mash-Up Proves The Band Should Score Every Movie Ever

The Nordic trio needs to take a tip from Johnny Greenwood and start scoring movies, ASAP.

Sigur Ros need to take a tip from Johnny Greenwood and start scoring movies. The Icelandic group's music is almost consistently described as "cinematic" due to its lush sonic atmospheres, ephiphanic crescendos, and consistently emotive albums. If listening to, um, any of the band's songs isn't enough to convince you, this mash-up that fuses Sigur Rós’ “All Right” with scenes from 1982 dystopian classic Blade Runner should do the trick.

Created by Phillip "Shambess" Acker, the clip juxtaposes "All Right" with the film's most important moments, resulting in the sci-fi movie appearing even more intense and bleak than we remember it being. We can only hope the Nordic trio gets in touch with Paul Thomas Anderson or Terrence Malick. Hey, we're sure their tunes could even make a film like "Neighbors" feel melancholic and emotional.

Watch the mash-up below and heads up, there are some spoilers:
