Welcome to San José del Pacífico, a little village high in the southern mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico. San José is called "of the Pacific" because even though it is 70 miles from the coast and more than 7,500 feet above sea level, visitors can see the sparkling Pacific Ocean from nearly anywhere in town on a clear day.
