Heading to Austin? Hang Out with Action Bronson at SXSWonderful and SouthBites

If you're heading down to the Lone Star State this week, make sure to check out Fuck, That's Delicious host Action Bronson's event SXSWonderful, spanning four fantastic events from March 18–21.

Are you, like tens of thousands of others, preparing to go bake in the Texas sun for the delightful, chaotic mess known as SXSW? You're going "for work," right? Definitely not to watch the 2,200+ musical performers, stuff your face with the goods from every food truck in sight, and intoxicate yourself with a combination of lukewarm beer and mystery pills.

But if you're heading down to the Lone Star State this week, make sure to check out SouthBites programming and events from March 14 to 16 and later in the week Fuck, That's Delicious host Action Bronson's event SXSWonderful, spanning four fantastic events from March 18 to March 21.

Behold as Action spits rhymes from his new album Mr. Wonderful (out March 23), or stop by his food truck at SouthBites Trailer Park for a taste of the gourmand's signature poutine.

SouthBites is in its second year as the destination foodies flock to during the festival, and this year's lineup is truly off-the-chain. In addition to a slew of delicious trucks in the SouthBites trailer park, their three-day-long program of panels at the Driskill Hotel includes participants like ?uestlove (Taste Talks), Jonathan Gold (Los Angeles Times), Kerry Diamond (Yahoo! Food), David Chang (Momofuku), Andrew Zimmern (Travel Channel), Adam Rapoport (Bon Appetit), Rob Rhinehart (inventor of Soylent), and many more. Check it out.

Sunday, March 16 SouthBites is hosting an epic culinary collab with chefs Sean Brock, Nathan Myhrvold and Paul Qui serving up an evening of delicious food. Grab your ticket to attend the feasting festivities.

Monday, March 17 If movies are your jam, check out the SouthBites screening of Bone in the Throat, based on celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain's novel Bone in the Throat. All things Bourdain always deliver.

Wednesday, March 18 In the evening, check out the Mr. Wonderful showcase at Scoot Inn (1308 East 4th St). Action's food truck will be parked outside, so sample his Mr. Wonderful Texas-Style Poutine for free, or snack on the select empanadas that will be available for purchase.

Thursday, March 19 From 4 PM to 6 PM, stop by the food truck at the official SouthBites Trailer Park (604 Driskill St.) to see Action in action—handing out free food, meeting with fans, and snacking. If you can't be there during that window of time, no problem—the truck will be there all day, even when Mr. Wonderful has to roll out. The lot is open all SXSW week, so duck in anytime.

Saturday, March 21 Stop by CRAVE's Music Showcase featuring Action Bronson, Doomtree, Smallpools, Black Cadillacs, and Irontom. It's free (21+ though, kids) from 12 PM to 5 PM at Vulcan Gas Company, and Mr Wonderful will be hitting the stage at 3:15. More info here!
