One solution to the above equation could be Mom and Pop’s Video Sci-Board. A more exciting one is the new partnership we’re launching today with Popular Science. We’re opening our fat archive of videos to the OG of science magazines in the hope of mingling our fresh approach to the future with a publication famous for its hard science, mad inventor profiles, mind-bending how-tos and visions of things to come. From the get go, one of our central missions has been to shatter the paradox of 'popular science,' a goal established long ago (1873!) by the groundbreaking editorial prowess of PopSci. This little chimera begins, aptly, with a spotlight on an electronic banquet by sound installation artist Liz Phillips once tuned 110 pounds of spaghetti—in honor of Popular Science's delicious Food Tech Week.

“Video is very much the future of the Web, and it provides an incredibly compelling way to deliver the future now,” Jake Ward, Editor in Chief of Popular Science, said in a press release. “We’ve long admired the tone and energy of Motherboard’s content, and we feel that this is a great marriage of two very complementary brands.”

We admire you too, Popular Scientists. Thank you for helping to make science (and us too!) more popular.
