Hear new music from Audion, Elka, Jex Opolis, and more.

Group of Seven is THUMP Canada's weekly roundup of the best electronic tracks that you may have missed, whether it be ambient, lo-fi house, techno, etc. From British Columbia to Nova Scotia, here's the seven new Canadian releases that we can't get enough of lately.

1. Anamai - "Hailstorm"

The ambient folktronica project of David Putska (aka Egyptrixx) and Anna Mayberry, "Hailstorm" is off the Toronto duo's upcoming sophomore album What Mountain, out April 28 via the former's imprint Halocline Trance. Guitar harmonics, spring reverb sputters, and a churning arpeggio frame Mayberry's fragile vocals, leaving the track to oscillate along the borders between indie and electronic.

2. Elka - "Wanderux"

What happens when two of British Columbia's best producers team up? In the case of Vancouverites Elka and D. Tiffany, you get Deep Intervention, the duo's forthcoming four-track split on Canadian label Heart to Heart. "Wanderux" is a deep house cut from the former that's about movement as much as it is texture, with an acidic bassline steering through metallic blips, wind chimes, and subtle congas.

3. Jex Opolis - "First Stomp"

Jex Opolis is a New York-based Canadian DJ and multi-instrumentalist, who also helms left-field disco label Good Timin' Records. From the producer's upcoming debut album Ravines, "First Stomp" is funk with a Balearic twist, the kind of sweaty and undeniable grooves you'd usually have to scour dollar vinyl bins to find.

4. Kaade - "You'll Find Your Way"

We first introduced you to Toronto producer and vocalist Kaade back in January, and now she's shared a menacing second single "You'll Find Your Way," which sees the Security Co-op co-founder piercing through degenerative, industrial techno with confident lyricism.

5. Kline - "Interlude Pt. 1"

Kline's "Interlude Pt. 1" is a standout cut from the Vancouver native's latest LP on Modern Math, Eastern Capital, which he wrote and produced during a three month trip to Japan. It opens with a foreboding chord, before deconstructing into improvisational layers of keys that moves it into an abstract finish.

6. Petra Glynt - "This Trip (Stone Lions Dub Edit by Damian Taylor)"

For the first release on his new label Vibe Over Method, veteran UK producer Damian Taylor (Bjork, The Prodigy, Arcade Fire) turns in a volcanic dub of Canadian performer Petra Glynt's urgent, drum-heavy single.

7.Tiga Vs. Audion - "Stabbed in the Back"

After releasing "Let's Go Dancing" together in 2013, Montreal's Tiga has joined forces with Audion (Matthew Dear's techno alias) once again for a three-track collaborative EP titled Nightclub. As you would expect from the veteran producers, opener "Stabbed in the Back" serves up some blistering percussion for a razor sharp tech-house heavyweight.
