Here’s How Cord Cutters Can Watch Real Madrid Take On Barcelona In El Clásico

Watching Real Madrid take on Barcelona this year couldn’t be easier for people without cable.

On Saturday, Real Madrid will host FC Barcelona in what's commonly called El Clásico, the single biggest soccer game of the year. The best way to watch (outside of attending in person, of course) is to head down to your local pub and drink beer and sing songs until your voice is hoarse. Failing that, you can watch on TV, and this time cord cutters can join the fun.

There are two streaming video services in the US that are carrying the game this year. One is Sling TV, which, bugs aside, is a useful service that provides access to a handful of channels like Food Network and ESPN for $20 per month. One of these channels, BeIn Sports, is carrying the game live at noon ET.

The other service is called Fubo, a soccer-focused streaming video service that costs about $7 per month. Fubo also includes BeIn Sports, letting people strictly interested in watching soccer catch the game for the price of a beer in New York City.

Both Sling TV and Fubo have apps for most major streaming platforms, including Roku, Chromecast, and Amazon Fire. While neither service offers an Apple TV app, you can download the iOS app and then stream that video to your Apple TV using AirPlay.

And of course, if you still actually pay for cable, the game will be on BeIn Sports there too.
