In fact, it's almost as if we are back in the Nixon era, because everyone is talking about various incriminating tapes—whether they're between Comey and Trump or House Majority Leader Paul Ryan and fellow conservatives.During Thursday night's Desus & Mero, the two hosts discussed the June 2016 tapes the Washington Post uncovered, where Ryan and a few of his colleagues laugh and joke about the idea of Putin paying Trump. A spokesperson for Ryan brushed the recording off as merely "an attempt at humor," which is plausible, according to the VICELAND hosts, because most of the Republicans are terrible comedians.
