It's time, once again, to marvel at some idiots who don't know how to handle the world: 

Cry-Baby #1: Michael and Nova Smith

The incident: A McDonald's worker allegedly forgot to include hash browns in someone's order.

The appropriate response: Complaining.

The actual response: The couple who placed the order called 911.

Earlier this week, married couple Michael and Nova Smith ordered two breakfast meals from a McDonald's in Mesa, Arizona.

According to the couple, the meals were meant to come with hash browns, but, once they got to their car, they discovered they were hash brown-less.

Furious, Nova went inside to confront the staff. “It’s a meal,” she told ABC News. “Just like you should get fries with your hamburger, we should have got our hash browns with our breakfast sandwiches.”

According to Nova, the staff she spoke to refused to give her hash browns, so she threw her purse and the food in their direction. "And that was out of frustration which I probably shouldn't have done, but I did," Nova told ABC News. 

While she was throwing things, her husband Michael called 911. "He's trying to basically rob me," he told the 911 operator, speaking of the McDonald's manager. The manager also called 911, saying one of his staff had been assaulted.

Michael then went behind the counter to confront the staff. “I just was barely able to hold myself back,” Michael said. “And if not for the 911 call operator calling me back, I probably would have went berserk on him.”

Police came and cited Michael and Nova for assault and disorderly conduct. The couple then took their story to the local news. As you can see in the video above, they seem weirdly kind of proud of the whole thing.

Cry-Baby #2: An unnamed TSA agent

The incident: A woman tried to take a tiny fake gun on to a plane.

The appropriate response: Nothing.

The actual response: The gun was confiscated by the TSA.

On December 3, Phyllis May from Redmond, Washington was at the airport to catch a flight home from St. Louis.

Phyllis runs a business selling "pop culture sock monkeys" (!!!) out of her home. She had a couple of the sock monkeys as well as some sewing supplies inside her carry-on bag.

One of those monkeys, which Phyllis had named Rooster Monkburn (!!!) was meant to look like John Wayne's character in the movie True Grit. As such, it had a teeny tiny little fake pistol in a holster around its waist.

As Phyllis and her husband were going through the TSA screening area, she noticed that one of her bags was missing.

According to Phyllis, this is when a TSA agent held her bag up and said "whose is this?"

"I realized, oh my God, this is my bag." she told CNN.

Phyllis said the TSA agent then went through her bag and took out Rooster Monkburn's tiny gun. Then, Phyllis said, the agent told her "this is a gun."

When Phyllis argued that it was in fact part of a toy, she claims the agent responded, "If I held it up to your neck, you wouldn't know if it was real or not."

The TSA agent then told Phyllis that she would be confiscating the gun, and that she was supposed to call the police.

The TSA released a statement about the incident, saying: "TSA officers are dedicated to keeping the nation's transportation security systems safe and secure for the traveling public. Under longstanding aircraft security policy, and out of an abundance of caution, realistic replicas of firearms are prohibited in carry-on bags."

Phyllis, who also seems like a bit of a cry-baby, said that she was left "appalled and shocked and embarrassed" by the incident.
