Tonight: Spend an Evening Watching David Lynch's "Hotel Room" with Barry Gifford

Tonight in Brooklyn, Barry Gifford will be appearing at Book Thug Nation where he will be reading passages from his latest book The Roy Stories, which chronicles Barry's weird personal life. After the reception, we're screening two episodes of...

Our friend Barry.

Barry Gifford wrote Wild At Heart, the romantic story of two star-crossed lovers that David Lynch turned into a smoldering deathfest back in 1990. If you haven't seen it, peel yourself away from your cellular telephone and watch it immediately, and be sure to pay attention for the part where Sherilyn Fenn gets scalped in a car accident.

Tonight in Brooklyn, Barry will be appearing at Book Thug Nation in Williamsburg, where he'll read passages from his latest book, The Roy Stories, which chronicles his insane personal life. After the reception, Spectacle Theater will screen two episodes of David Lynch's HBO mini-series Hotel Room, which Barry had a hand in writing. VICE's editor in chief Rocco Castoro will be on hand to host a Q&A with Barry after the show, so you can ask him anything your weird little heart desires. Plus, you can buy the book, and Barry will sign it himself (presumably in completely incomprehensible handwriting).
