Israel's ground invasion of the Gaza strip has entered its second night, with frequent strikes coming from both air and sea as the military focuses its attention on Gaza's borders in an attempt to destroy Hamas's tunnels into Israel. Since it began 11 days ago, the military operation has killed almost 300 Palestinians, most of them civilians. Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Israel may "widen" the operation in coming days.
