What's one way to get 100,000 fans to your upcoming music festival? How about giving them a literal piece of the action?

The organizers of sub:Merged - The Gathering, which aims to create the world's biggest techno festival this September in the Netherlands, will give a share of their company for each ticket sold, reports Techno Moves. The ticket buyers will become company shareholders just for attending. The 100,000 shares given for ticket purchasers equals 10% of the company.

In a press release supporting the announcement, the organizers gave additional details about their decision.

"We understand that people are the key ingredient to any movement, the real power able to make those positive changes a reality, that is why we care about people the most with everything we do. We want to create a global techno family that can make those changes and lead by example," the press release said. "This is the least we can do to give back to those who believe in us, and to truly share the journey together."

Signed share certificates will be sent on September 1 by email to all buyers and ticket purchasers.

A total of 150 artists will play the festival. The first 50 artists were announced last week. sub:Merged takes place September 22-24.
