The New 'Incredibles 2' Trailer Finally Introduces the Movie's Villain

But who is the Screenslaver?

The first trailer for The Incredibles 2 dropped back in February, giving us our first real look at the long, long, long-awaited follow-up to Pixar's brilliant superhero family movie. That trailer mostly focused on Bob Parr, the patriarch of the Incredibles family, struggling to do the whole Mr. Mom thing and look after the kids while his wife was busy with a new job—a task that's apparently pretty difficult when your kids can teleport and shoot lasers out of their eyes or whatever.

While Bob tries to parent his superkids and wrap his head around Common Core, his wife, Helen, or Elastigirl—played by Helen Hunt—is off leading a campaign "to bring Supers back into the sunlight," thanks to a plan dreamed up by some rich guy, Winston Deaver (Bob Odenkirk).

On Friday, Pixar released a second Incredibles 2 trailer, and this time around, it centers on Elastigirl's new quest—and the freaky-ass supervillain she's going up against, Screenslaver. At the end of the two-minute clip, we see some TVs cut to static as the Screenslaver takes over, well, some screens, and then beams in some kind of hypnotic pattern that looks a lot like that thing you stare at to get acid visuals for ten seconds.

It isn't exactly clear from the trailer who the Screenslaver is or what he wants, but here's your completely unfounded Incredibles theory for the day: Screenslaver is definitely just Bob Odenkirk's character with a mask and a voice scrambler, right? I mean, just look at their heads. Everybody else in the trailer has these lumpy potato heads, except those two characters! Coincidence? Maybe. But still!

Plus, it just makes sense: If the guy wants to make society love superheroes again, it's only natural that he'd need a scary villain, too. And if we've learned anything from Scooby-Doo and Jonny Quest, it's that the vaguely skeezy dude who shows up early on will definitely wind up being the bad guy. And those heads! Look at the heads! It's all in the heads!

We'll find out exactly who's behind the Screenslaver's mask when Incredibles 2 hits theaters on June 15. Until then, give the trailer a watch above, and keep an eye on those head shapes.
