The Oscar nominations were announced today and one can only assume that Georgetown and Butler intentionally delayed the release of this video so as to not deny other candidates the honor of an Oscar nomination. Clearly, a video starring the schools' bulldog mascots, Jack and George III, going about their daily duties in an anthropomorphic fashion is the sort of cinema that the Oscars exist to recognize. All in all, it's a classy move by Georgetown and Butler that demonstrates one need not bend to the whims of Oscar-bait season. After all, important cinema always finds its audience. Also: doggies!
